About this event

Ngiaga (I/I Am) is a collaborative series of mixed media works by Leilani Dewis with other First Nations artists, exploring the interconnected stages of life — birth, living, death and what lies beyond. Its tagline is "Everything is connected, and I am connected to it." Leilani Dewis is a painter who grew up at Wreck Bay, drawing on personal, cultural, spiritual and social connections in her work. The exhibition showed in the West Gallery at Belconnen Arts Centre alongside Ngunna Dhaara, Nguramban-dhi, a photographic series by Alana Harris, and the Yawarj Mara Young Men's Art Exhibition.
