Mr First Nation is the world premiere of the first-ever Blak drag king pageant, presented as part of Melt Festival in Magandjin (Brisbane). Born from the legacy of Miss First Nation, the competition celebrates the brilliance, power and diversity of Blak Kings from across the country. Contestants compete across heats including a best national costume showcase and a talent round featuring comedy, live vocals, dance, cabaret and storytelling, before a Grand Final crowns the first-ever Mr First Nation. More than a competition, the event is a celebration of creativity, culture, connection and community.
