Aboriginal Family History Workshop - Narooma Library

Join us for an Aboriginal Family History workshop, designed to help you dive into your family history with confidence. Whether you’re just starting out or have hit a roadblock in your research, this hands-on session is for anyone eager to explore their roots. The workshop will led by Aletha and Ben, full-time researchers with the Link-Up NSW Family Link Program. We will guide you step-by-step through the process of starting your research, recording your evidence and the features of Ancestry.com library edition. Feel free to bring your own laptop or device and start your search on the day. Otherwise, please let us know if you need access to one of our computers. We will be there to provide personalised guidance, answer questions, and help you uncover your family tree. About the Facilitators: Aletha Rowan: Aletha has been a professional family history researcher since 2008 with nine years’ experience working for removed people at Link-Up NSW. She is a qualified researcher with the Society of Australian Genealogists. Ben Hosford: Ben holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Newcastle and a Master of Information Studies from Charles Sturt University. Participants should bring their laptop or other device to begin researching during the session. Library tablets are also available for use.
