Connect with culture through this unique weaving workshop and create your own piece to take home. Looking for a hands-on experience that celebrates Sydney's rich Aboriginal heritage? Discover the traditional art of weaving, a skill that was integral to the daily lives of local mobs around Warrane (Sydney Harbour). Through the shared experience of this traditional craft, these workshops — led by the women of Ngumpie Weaving — offer a blend of practical skills and cultural insights. Participants start with the basics and build towards more complex designs, taking their woven piece home. Weaving Under the Bridge is part of Unlock The Rocks Art & Culture Month, a program of workshops and events across The Rocks through September.
