About this event
The NATSICC Spirituality Retreat brings together Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Catholic leaders and friends from across Australia to mark the 40th anniversary of Pope John Paul II's historic 1986 address to First Nations peoples in Alice Springs. The retreat provides an opportunity for prayer, reflection and renewal, revisiting the message and legacy of this landmark address within the Catholic Church. Participants will take part in Mass, workshops, presentations and yarning circles exploring Aboriginal spirituality and its continuing significance for First Nations Catholic ministry today. Presenters include Bishop Tim Norton SVD, Fr Steve Fletcher and NATSICC Council members.
