About this event
Gathering presents a special Muralappi Arts display and showcase with Jessica Skeen on the Queen Street Mall Main Stage. Jessica is a contemporary Aboriginal artist and the founder of Muralappi Arts, an Indigenous family-owned business spanning four generations. A Biri and Kuku Thaypan woman from North Queensland, she was raised in Logan and still lives there. Her practice is rooted in culture, storytelling and connection to Country, and takes up themes of healing, identity and community. Working across murals, canvas and functional art, Jessica creates visual narratives that foster reflection, understanding and connection. Her work appears in Queensland hospitals, public spaces and community projects, and she also runs hands-on workshops that promote cultural understanding and respect. This Gathering event is produced by Cre8tive Nations.
