About this event
Foundation for Reconciliation is a cultural awareness workshop delivered by Red Dust Role Models to help participants build their foundation for cultural competency and reconciliation. In partnership with remote Indigenous communities, the session facilitates genuine two-way learning and cultural exchange, exploring topics such as identity, Country, mob and family. Participants examine Aboriginal and Australian history, learn how and when to deliver an Acknowledgement of Country, and consider their own role in reconciliation. The workshop aims to build stronger relationships and respect between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians, support development of Reconciliation Action Plans, and help create culturally safe workplaces. Funds raised support Red Dust's health and wellbeing programs in Indigenous communities.
