The Shire of Harvey are hosting a NAIDOC dinner celebrating 50 years of NAIDOC, Harvey Aboriginal Corporation, and our local Elders. Event Details Date: Friday, 10th July 2026 Location: The Function Room, Harvey Recreation and Cultural Centre, Tom Latch Drive Harvey 6233 Arrival Time: 4:30pm Official Opening: 5pm Event Closes: 7:30pm Enjoy a cultural performance, a home-style dinner provided by Lucy's Catering, an educational film and an opportunity to network and mingle with the local community. NAIDOC Week National NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia in the first week of July each year (Sunday to Sunday), to celebrate and recognise the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth. You can support and get to know your local Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities through events and activities like this. While we are celebrating 50 Years of NAIDOC, we are also celebrating the incredible passion and dedication that Harvey Aboriginal Corporation demonstrate every day and our Local Elders within the Shire of Harvey who pave the way towards further Reconciliation.
