Join us on Darug Country for a powerful two‑day gathering as we honour and uplift the transformational journeys of Aboriginal women and children who are emerging from crisis into safety, healing, and renewed strength. Let’s celebrate the vital role of Aboriginal-led and Managed refuge services in creating safe spaces to empower our women, our way. 🗓 Date: 19th - 20th August ⏰ Time: 9:00 am to 4:30 pm each day - Registrations from 8:30 am each day. 📍 Location: The William Inglis Hotel – 155 Gov Macquarie Rd, Warwick Farm NSW 2170, Darug Country This year’s Summit recognises the vital role that Aboriginal-led & Managed Women & Children’s Refuges play across NSW, offering safety, culturally sensitive and trauma informed care, and hope to those experiencing family and domestic violence. ✨ What to Expect ✨ 🪴 2 Days of Inspirational & Thought-Provoking Sessions 🧩 Connection to sector-wide Supports & Resources 🦋 Cultural performances, activities & networking opportunities with others across the refuges space Eligibility to Attend: ⚫️ Up to 4 staff from each Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO) led Core and Cluster Service & Aboriginal Managed Women & Children’s Refuges across NSW. 🟡 Up to 4 staff from each Aboriginal Women and Children's Refuge (ACCO-owned and operated). 🔴 Up to 4 staff from each Aboriginal-Managed Women's Refuge/Safe House. This Summit is open to both women and men, recognising that true transformation happens when our whole community walks together. Bringing men into this work is essential, not only as allies, but as active participants in creating safer futures for Aboriginal women and children.
